It's been a little while. I'm not dead, I've just been busy.
My senior project was submitted and well-received. I was even summoned to a symposium on Maui to talk about it, which was awesome (I have pictures from a little snorkel trip I had there, too).
With my senior project done, the time came for me to graduate. I have crossed the mighty threshold, and now am one of the masses of post-grads looking for a job. I have a few possibilities lined up, but nothing especially concrete. Hopefully that'll change soon.
For now it looks like I'm staying in Hawai'i instead of returning to California. It was a very, very hard decision, and one that I'm still not entirely sure of. I love Hawai'i, but I miss my family. And after having an extraordinarily rough year, I just want to rest. That's not likely to happen while job/apartment hunting on Oahu, but hey. I plead insanity.
My updates may be a bit sporadic, as I'm rushing all over the island finding jobs and taking bar tending classes and such. For now, the schedule looks like this:
Day #1: Hanauma Bay
Day #2: Misc
Day #3: Honaunau National Park
Day #4: Garden Eel Grove/Manta Heaven
Day #5: Kealekekua Bay
Day #6: Kahe Point
Day #7: Los Angeles Zoo
Day #8: Terranea
Day #9: San Diego Zoo
Day #10: Maui
Day #11: Mauna Kea
Day #12: Kilauea
Day #13: Akaka Falls
