Eye of the Frogmouth by X5-442 Eye of the Frogmouth by X5-442
A closeup of a frogmouth, which is roughly the Australian version of an owl. Not that they're related, mind you.

Photo taken at the Honolulu Zoo, Oahu.

He looks very suspicious. Gotta love the Tawny's. I see them at my house a lot. They eat my toads XD

Awesome shot! I friggin LOVE Frogmouths!

You're right in that they're not owls... They're just nocturnal and.. well... look like them. :D

Is the Honolulu zoo a good zoo?

Haha thanks! Frogmouths are great.
The Honolulu Zoo... I wouldn't call it a great zoo, but it's decent. It has very few exhibits, but those it does have are all very well done. It of course pales when compared to the San Diego Zoo that I'm used to.

You're welcome! And indeed they are!

Yeah, that's about what I thought. Importing large, exotic animals to the middle of the pacific can be problematic. :D
