Artist's Comments

A young West African dwarf crocodile. He/she/it was about two and a half feet long, but adults are about five feet long or so.
They are shy and solitary crocodilians, and their morphology is surprisingly similar to dwarf caimans. This similarity is probably due to the fact that they live in similar niches and habitats.
