A couple weeks ago, when my friend and I went to Hanauma, I found this guy before we even put on our fins. It's a day octopus, so named because they're the most diurnal species found in Hawai'i. They are hilariously malleable, and tend to stretch and fold themselves into bizarre shapes.
At first he didn't trust us, and every time we got close he'd blast us with water from his siphon. But as time went on that story changed...
