Tired Sea Turtle

A friend I met up with on the North Shore. This is a green sea turtle, the second largest sea turtle and the one you're most likely to meet up with on Hawai'i. Green sea turtles are the most herbivorous sea turtles, and they are also the only sea turtles that return to land recreationally. While most turtles will only haul themselves onto land to lay eggs, the greens will do it to get some basking in and even eat a little beach grass.
I was so excited when I found a beach with three of these guys hauled up on it. But I stayed within legal distance limits, of course.
